Vita App β UI/UX Case Study
UI/UX Design & Front-End Development | JulyβAugust 2024
π± What is Vita?
Vita is a summer camp located near the Black sea in Anapa, Russia. Vita stakeholders decided to develop a mobile app designed to help parents stay updated on their kids' activities and also streamline internal communication for staff members.
π©βπ» My Role
I worked as a UI/UX Developer, leading the design and front-end prototyping. My responsibilities included research, wireframing, conceptual design, and team coordination.
π― Challenge
The app had to be intuitive for both parents and staff, despite having very different needs. One goal was to create an experience that felt light and reassuring for parents, while being fast and functional for staff.
π Research Process
- Conducted user interviews with parents and staff
- Analyzed competing apps for layout and visual inspiration
- Mapped out user flows for different personas
π§ Concept & Wireframes
I created initial sketches, low-fi wireframes, and click-through prototypes using Figma.
π€ Collaboration
I led meetings with the team (developer + manager) to ensure alignment between the product vision and technical feasibility. I also communicated progress with stakeholders regularly.
π οΈ Tools & Tech Used
- Figma (design & prototyping)
- HTML/CSS/JS (front-end)
- GoogleMeets, Telegram (project coordination)
β¨ What I Learned
This was my first time working as a UI/UX lead. I learned how to conduct lean research, collaborate with developers, and make sure the user always stays at the center of the process.
